About Gilly Cotter
Gilly Cotter holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the West of England College in Bristol. Her Art career has taken many turns. But presently, Gilly works in oil paints, print making, and sculptural ceramics. She interprets the natural world around her, including fauna and flora. And enjoys reflecting the way light creates patterns on the water in the local beauty spots. Ultimately, it’s the emotions that complete her works, sharing with the viewer the feeling of serenity that the South Hams of Devon has to offer.
All in all, Gilly has had many accolades. She has achieved such praise, thanks to her involvement in Art Associations such as the Salcombe Art Club, South Hams Arts Forum and Pressgang Print Makers. In the past, she also became a member of Fosseway Artists.
She has exhibited her work regularly over the years and has been sold to many destinations. She previously exhibited at galleries such as Harbour House (Kingsbridge), the Garden Gallery (Cheltenham) or Compton Cassey Gallery (Artrix) among many others. Also, she exhibited at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) Machynlleth.
